Touch to drive is an innovative technology we are bringing to the table for our ReadySight™ robots. Controlling the robots in this way means they can be easily operated with zero special training.
What you’re doing is looking at the video feed sent to your phone by your ReadySight robot and then tapping the screen in the location you want the robot to drive to.
That’s it, the ReadySight robot takes care of the rest with its robust suite of sensors.
Even the best networks encounter lag, and often responders are operating in an area with poor signal quality. Imagine trying to control a robot with your thumbs on a smartphone screen with even a half second of lag. You’ll have driven past your target before you even had the opportunity to do anything about it.
Touch to drive eliminates this problem.
See an opening to a doorway you want to drive through? Tap the opening and your robot will go there.
Not only does this make your ReadySight robot easy to operate, it makes it safer as well.
If you are hyper focused on controlling your robot with precision inputs you won’t be aware of what is happening around you. This defeats the purpose of a situational awareness robot.
We packed enough technology into this little robot to ensure that isn’t the case.
ReadySight robots are smart as hell and capable of enough autonomous operation to make sure you are getting the information you need without losing yourself to driving it.

Your ReadySight™ robot comes with all of the connectivity of a modern smartphone, including GPS, wifi, and bluetooth right out of the box. You don’t need to do anything other than open the box, turn it on, and install the app.
The ReadySight robot only stores video internally as a backup, everything is saved to the cloud as it is being recorded. This allows us to keep the robot completely sealed, and it means you don’t need to mess around with data cards.
It was very important to us that these robots were simple to use out of the box, without needing to connect to a bunch of other networks and services. That includes access to cellular data networks.
The price you pay includes unlimited data access. If you’re a first responder on our Responder plan, this includes the AT&T FirstNet and Verizon Frontline networks. These are networks built specifically with first responders in mind. Your ReadySight data and video will be prioritized over all other consumer traffic.
So even if Instagram is having a really busy day, your video stays crisp and clear, no matter the environment you are in.
The power of the LTE networks means that the sky's the limit. We may soon have the ability to add intelligent recognition capabilities to the video feed.
Our goal with the ReadySight robot was to build something that was easy to use and uncomplicated, that extends to how it interacts with networks.
